Important issues are raised on the forum including preserving our industrial heritage for future generations. The forum also includes news and events. In order to keep the internet idiots, trolls and spammers out of the forum there is a sign up requirement (you may browse the posts without signing up but to respond or start your own topic you must be signed or logged in). Signing up is quick and simple. You need a valid email address, a name, any name can be used but pick one you can remember because you will need it each time you sign in. You will also need a password. You authentication will be sent to the email address you give Note when you type in the security code numbers and letters KEEP YOUR CAPITAL LOCK ON (all the letters are capitals) Your email address will remain secure & private within the forum and will not be used for any other purpose. . This means that no one else on the forum can see your email address. If anyone wants to send you a private message withing the forum they can still do so and it will appear in your private messages when you log on. Some people prefer to use an alternative email address for forums, guest books etc. Microsoft Hotmail provides a quick sign up for an alternative email address. We do not recommend you use Hotmail as a main email address because Hotmail attracts a lot of spam.. If you are new to web forums it will take you a few minutes to get orientated.
