Anyone know which company in Birmingham is the oldest established nursery (now called garden centres!)?

Here is a list

Was Cooks Audrey Bevans? Cooks Nursuries were in Fox Hollies Road, Walmley.

Wyndley Nursuries were around in 1920 because they bred some plants under the name of 'Wyndley'. Anybody got any info?

Hi,
I think they were originally around Wyndley Lane in Sutton possibly around the site of Wyndley Swimming Baths and had to move when the baths were built in the early 1970's.
I'll try to look further to qualify this.

Cheers

Halls on the Chester road is quite an old one as in the one in Bourneville which I think is now Wyevale-it may date back to creation of the Cadbury estate

Sorry Fireman,

Got distracted by sprayers!!

Looked on Companies House - often useful but the only reference to a Wyndley Garden Centres is a now dissolved co that was incorporated in 1990! - not much good.
