I recognise some of the names in that list like Birmingham Co-Op, Bourneville, Cadbury, Midland Counties, Handsworth Dairies & Birmingham Dairies but don'r recognise many others. I presume that they were smaller concerns? that got taken over and disappeared into the larger ones? would this be correct or is it that as I did not start noticing things until early 70's most had passed on?

I do not recognise some of those names either-WACADEN were large however.

There were planty of small milkmen such as the guy in Walmley, Penns Lane-(Cant think of his name) who bought milk from Midland Counties

Les Woodward?

Lived in the old mill cottages by the station

There was a dairy at the Streetly end of Clarence Road, Sutton, in the fifties.
I think it's a garage now.
There was a milkman called Mr Whittaker. I used to help him on his rounds.
