Birmingham seems to be a city that does not want to remember its industrial past. For instance, you will not find an industrial museum in the city that was once called the first industrial town in the world. If you are interested in industrial history you will have to visit many museums both in and outside the city and even then you will be sadly dissapointed.
Birmingham was the centre of cycle, motor cycle and car manufacture but you will not find much about these important industries in any of the cities museums.
The Think Tank at Millenium Point has some quite interesting small exhibits of some of Birmingham's better known industries but nothing on the scale that Birmingham deserves.
